The exhibition "Sehen: Play!" (trans.: "See: Play!") includes AV-performances, film and video works, installations and other objects. One part of it are three of my own works: the trailer of my short film "POV" (see Part 2), the installation of "Monitoring", and the video object "VS-Arcade Machine" (see Part 3).

Part 1: AV-CONCERT

At the start, there will be an AV-concert. To be precise, various performers will be playing with both electronic and digital processes, the sounds and images of which are bound to show many layers of individualism.

Part 2: FILM PROGRAM

The first part of the film program zeroes in on the "Hinterbühne" (trans.: backstage): While elitist, neo-liberal feminists hold a medical conference to praise women’s liberation of reproduction- and biotechnology, three members of the venue’s service staff are discussing reproductive conflicts and decisions of their own. The short films presented in the second part of the program thematise utopian life designs, gender identities, transhumanism, migration and global capitalism. We dive into Berlin’s club scene; we watch armed women in skimpy dresses point their weapons at the unknown; we see two men re-enact their flight experiences, and witness how an astronaut discusses the allocation of the sky’s territories with the pope.

Part 3: INSTALLATIONS AND VIDEO OBJECTS

Both the hallways and the building’s side wings will host installations, objects and live performances. You will find an apron dress next to a game machine; you will see how analogous films meet virtual spaces; clay animations are followed by stereoscopic 3D-experiments.

All works are "Berlinian" premieres curated by Anna Anders, Thomas Arslan, Alberto de Campo und Nina Fischer.

Die Ausstellung "Sehen: Play!" zeigt audiovisuelle Performances, Film- und Videoarbeiten, Installationen und Objekte. Im Rahmen der Ausstellung zeige ich drei Arbeiten: Den Trailer zu meinem Kurzfilm "POV" im zweiten Teil des Filmprogramms, sowie die Installation "Monitoring" und das Videoobjekt "VS–Arcade Machine" im Foyer der Volksbühne.

Part 1: AUDIOVISUELLES KONZERT

Den Auftakt bildet ein audiovisuelles Konzert: Performer spielen mit elektronischen und digitalen Prozessen, die Klänge und Bilder in vielen Abstufungen von Eigenwilligkeit zeigen.

Part 2: FILMPROGRAMM

Im ersten Block des Filmprogramms richtet sich der Blick auf die "Hinterbühne": Während elitäre, neoliberale Feministinnen auf einer Medizinkonferenz die Befreiung der Frau durch Reproduktions- und Biotechnologie preisen, verhandeln drei Service-Mitarbeiterinnen hinter der Garderobentheke reproduktive Konflikte und Entscheidungen. Die neun kurzen Filme im zweiten Block thematisieren utopische Lebensentwürfe, Gender-Identitäten, Transhumanismus, Migration und globalen Kapitalismus. Wir tauchen in die Berliner Clubszene ab, bewaffnete Frauen in dünnen Kleidchen zielen ins Unbekannte, zwei Männer reinszenieren Fluchterlebnisse, und ein Astronaut diskutiert mit dem Papst die Aufteilung des Himmels.

Part 3: INSTALLATION UNF VIDEOOBJEKTE

Die Flure und Seitenflügel werden mit Installationen, Objekten und Live-Performances bespielt. Hier findet sich die Kittelschürze neben einer game machine, analoger Film trifft auf virtuellen Raum, und clay animation folgt auf stereoskopische 3D-Experimente.

Bei allen Arbeiten handelt es sich um Berliner Premieren.
